Common Customer Questions

Is my tree dead?

It may be obvious with some trees, but others (especially the recently dead trees), it can be tricky to determine their status. It can be especially tricky for deciduous trees (trees that lose their leaves every year). Having a BioTree Care expert examine your tree before making the decision to cut it can potentially save you lots of money, not to mention avoid you having to get rid of a beautiful tree. Call BioTree Care for a free consultation.

How is BioTree Care different from its competitors?

Many competitors do their work with a lift or a bucket truck. This requires driving heavy machinery into your yard, potentially damaging your irrigation, other structures as well as messing up your lawn. BioTree Care does not use heavy machinery to get to the trees. We are specially equipped and trained to climb and get to any part of the tree to complete your desired goal.

Will trimming my trees cause oak wilt?

Oak wilt is a fungal-linked disease which affects the tree's vascular system. Symptoms of this disease can include: leaf wilting; starting from the outer edge of the leaves, leaf discoloration, and/or the vein portions of the leaves may occur. Taking preventative measures before and after trimming can help avoid this common and most often, deadly disease. The professionals at BioTree Care are always conscious of this disease when working around oaks. If you have Live Oak trees, call BioTree for more information.

When is the best time to trim trees?

Typically, the best time to trim trees is during their dormant stage. Trimming during this time causes the least amount of stress to the tree then when trimming in other times of the year. The most critical time for trees is during the spring, when they are blooming; this is the time when trimming should be avoided.
